Matt Dyer
Matt has been the Youth Director since 2005. He started coming to the youth group as a freshman in high school in 1998, having accepted Christ as his forgiver, leader and treasure. He has had the joy of growing up through the youth ministry and eventually serving alongside Mark Gedicks as a member of the youth staff, and now as the youth director. Matt is a graduate of New England Bible College with an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and is looking forward to pursuing further education. He and his wife Libby have been married since 2006 and are currently living in Gorham and have a son, Matthew Judson Dyer. Libby grew up in the church and never expected to marry a pastor, but was pleasantly surprised. While much of her time is now spent in her ministry to her family she still enjoys staying connected with SnL teens.
Josh Otte
Josh started in Salt and Light in August 2005 and serves as the pastor of gathered worship and mission. Before that he served as the youth director of First Baptist Church of South Portland from 1999-2002. Josh graduated from New England Bible College in 2002 and from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2005. He’s married to his best friend, Heidi, and they have a handsome, wicked funny 2-year old Zechariah. If Josh were writing this bio, he’d say that “It’s my most fantastic privilege to equip and encourage students to find their ultimate joy, hope, security and confidence in Jesus Christ—that’s youth ministry. That’s why I do it.”
Brent Roberts
Brent has been a part of the youth ministry since he was a student and joined the staff team in 2000
Brent is the eccentric one on staff who enjoys attacking and eating staff and teenagers. He works full time at Wal-Mart as a professional aquarist advisor and sales worker, serving the community of Windham for 8 years. The job has its perks, but drives him to the brink of insanity. Brent lives in the middle of Windham and has been a resident for 7 years. On the side, he’s a neophyte sound engineer and recording artist who wants to get into the music industry and a Star Wars enthusiast who loves collecting Star Wars memorabilia. Other than that he enjoy writing, drama, Soul Fest, people, and other artistic pursuits.
